UPS AND DOWN!

To start off, gam gam you made a family draft, but it was to the Crompton family. The ups are we took a convert to the temple for the first time. The downs are for some reason they are changing the paintball to futbol with 3 other zones and im pissed off. Ive only wanted 1 pday this whole time here and now its changing. Its fine though hopefully we play next transfer and the temple trip with fun!

CAMBIOS!

 Today was good, president texted us at 6 pm saying "elders can I call you today" so we planned a call for 9pm, and for the rest of the day we were like bro what is he gonna say. Turns out a elder is struggling bad with spanish because he cant read English or spanish well and he needs help (im 90 percent sure I know who it is he was in the MTC with me and we stayed in the same house) he is a really sweet and nice guy but struggles a ton with languages in general, so president is basically making my comp train again, because my comp is pretty solid in english. So to summarize my comp is leaving to another area and im staying in my area (I dont know who my comp is) and he is going to help another missionary and hes gonna be their district leader too. So yah i am 100 percent having a new comp in 4 days!

ELI'S PERU MOMMAS!

 I am missing Eli very much lately... probably with it being the Holiday season and all our family traditions....Well these 2 ladies have my whole heart as I know they take care of my boy in Peru when I cant. I wanted so badly to show them some small form of my gratitude for them and so Jared and I ordered flowers for them and he was able to deliver it to them for me. I cried tears of joy when I got to see pictures of him with these ladies. I have never met them, but I love them so much! 

Hermana Mimi (the Bishop's wife (Obispo Farfan) who lives above him and makes him Sunday dinners and then every once and a while her 15 year old son will bring Eli a plate of watermelon or beans and rice at night when he is starving!) and Hermana Alida (his pencinista who cooks all his lunches for him Tuesday - Saturday and does his laundry, she even made sure to treat him to an extra nice lunch on his birthday! 

HAD TO SPEAK AT MULTIZONE!

 Whats up guys how's it going? Very sorry about not writing last week dont know why i didnt but hey we are here now, and you just gotta love it 

Let's start with the title. Basically ive been having a lot of success bringing new people to sacrament and my mission president saw this, and during the our MULTIZONE he asked if I could speak on that and give my advice. Im sure the older elders didnt care to hear but that'd still pretty cool and I was happy to

I figured out Peru is the third most dangerous country for South America missions so thats chill (stay safe out there chat)

I realized I never told yall my "welcome to the mission moment" so here it is: My first day in the mission literally didnt leave the mission office to head to my first area, and a lady comes up grabs my arm and asks for my phone number and keeps asking a bunch of questions and I was like uhhh, she was scaring me man I was just a new guy and the other missionaries were dying laughing 

My upstairs neighbors have been playing a lot of Frank Sinatra and Michael Jackson and im loving it

I somehow hit my head on a doorway leaving this ladies house and it freaking hurt. Also all the elders in my zone called me over to arm wrestle a new elder in our zone (hes 25, from Peru and is big into lifting weights also) and i beat him after like a solid 2 minutes of fighting. After he looked at me and said this in english (wow you are very strong, im impressed causa) causa is peruvian slang for friend. So that was pretty cool. Also guess what, I can almost dunk im getting hops out here

I taught the best family ever while having splits with Elder Parra (La Cabra) its a family with 3 little girls and a little boy and one of the little girls got along with my really well and we were playing games the whole at their house, and after the lesson she grabs my finger (shes only like 3) and says cmon elder Jensen ill take you outside . It was the best thing ever and I love all of these interactions man

During intercambios with Elder Parra he was asking me a bunch of questions about girls and going on dates and stuff becuase he wants to live in the US after his mission and one of the questions he managed to ask to me in english was this "I heard in the United States you can go on a date with a girl and after the first date you can ask can we makeout? Is this true elder jensen can I ask this?" I was dying laughing then patted him on the shoulder and said "si." Then he smiled and stsrted laughing too hahaha

Spiritual Thought: We had a lesson with these kids yesterday and I started crying during the lesson because I was talking about my family and I said im out here because I wanna set an example and bless my future family and be an example for them. And after the lesson my comp looks at me and says "love and family are your only two needs, and I see that now." And this is true for me, and thats why im out here and what inspires me to be out here. Here's a scripture to kinda go along with that. 

Alma 17:11: And the Lord said unto them also: Go forth among the Lamanites, thy brethren, and establish my word; yet ye shall be patient in long-suffering and afflictions, that ye may show forth good examples unto them in me, and I will make an instrument of thee in my hands unto the salvation of many souls.

50 MINUTES OF STRAIGHT STAIRS AND WALKING UP A MOUNTAIN!

 Yes you heard that right. We spent 50 minutes walking upstairs and walking up a mountain to get to a lesson. It was the very top of the highest mountain in our area and in my mission, but it was cool and worth it. We taught a good lesson and shes interested in baptism even with going through so many difficulties 

FAMILY EMAIL!

 We had a service project again in the nasty house and this lady made us clean up a ton of stuff. Its the same lady that called me a King and kissed my hand and her friends came over the week before and drank beer and left all of the bottles in the house. So I had to clean up a lot of them and I took this Pic with Elder Parra

This week absolutely flew by as well. Time is getting weird, its like im just in this missionary mode and im just living life. Wednesday I had intercambios with Elder Seminario and that guy is a stud. He has the same amount of time as me, so that day was interesting, but we did really well. The kids we put on date are so funny I love them. One of them asked his mom "can I buy a coke" and this dude predicted his mom perfectly, as his mom was talking he was saying the same thing, in like a mocking voice because he always knows what his moms response is, it was so funny.

For our service this week we went to the biggest cemetery in Latin America and second biggest in the world, and moved rocks and what not, and we had a moto take us to the house and there was a toll fee and this dude says "its the missionaries they need to spread the good word, see yah later" and skips the toll fee, and then karma struck. The moto broke down and we had to walk 30 minutes to the place .

Josias (mi causita which is slang for friend) taught me how to make a flower out of a paper towel so thats sick and he took me and my comp to the doctor (not for me but for my comp) and he was blasting some 50 cent, snoop, and Coolio so that was also sick, and he said I looked like Max Steel which is a very popular toy in latin America and that guy is a stud so ill take it

Also we were teaching a lesson to my favorite kids and some dog brought over a bag and i have never smelled something worse in my life and all I said was "mmm que rico" which is like delicious and the kids starting dying laughing and the keep saying it to me now and laugh each time

Spiritual Thought: Alma 13: 27-29 this is my dad's go to scripture and I re read it this morning and thought more on it and it is sooo good. I encourage everyone to read it and think about it, its about repentance and being meek humble and patient in long suffering which is so important

TEACHING A GUY WITH A FAT SWASTIKA!

 Que onda chat. This week absolutely flew by it was insane here are the updates

1) Bishops said to me I am tan enough to be a real latino now 

2) Prayers up for Maria Consuelo (she is really really going through it)

3) We put 2 baptism dates this week , 12 year old names Joseph and his brother Alejandro (9 years old). I love them and they are super excited to be baptized and they told me they are super excited for me to baptize them (they love talking to me) 

4) We had a 40 minute lesson about temples and the ordenances and i am not exaggerating 15 minutes of it was me trying to explain how his grandpa dying at 2 YEARS OLD is physically not possible, and finally I said "hace dos años?" Which means "2 years ago" and the kid said OHHHH YAH 2 years ago, he didnt die at 2 years old my bad Elders and I was like there we go 

5) About 4 times a week my upstairs blast Linkin Park (in english of course) at 8 am and I love working out to it haha

6) Watched a insane Halloween parade (check google photos)

7) Volleyball with a Peru sized net (i could legit slam and block without jumping and let's just say i balled out)

8) I officially cant make fun of my mom anymore for crying about the gospel beause I be doing it a lot. And during a testimony me and this mom started crying while I was baring it, it was cool

9) I had my strangest plate of food. Raw fish, raw tentacles, seaweed (like strings of it), and legit seashell (i still have the seashell)

10) I met a family and the dad's name is Jared and the daughters name is Emma (my dad and sisters name as well )

11) I love tea now (only fruit infused dont worry)

12) I knocked a door and some guy with a fat swastika tattoo on his leg answered and we had a baller lesson with him

Spiritual Thought: Short and sweet if you wanna feel the spirit more, listen when he talks to you and do whatever he says. And invite him through scriptures, prayer, and taking the sacrament. Strive to always listen and always be worthy to listen
