MEETING THE ELECT!

This week we met some elect people which was amazingggg per usual. One is named Francisco who we met and called 3 days ago through a social media ad and then yesterday he came to church!!! He got to meet some dope members in our ward and even asked me for a Book of Mormon!! He is a super cool guy and wants to learn more about this great and perfect gospel which is so cool to see. We also had some small rays of light moments this week that I wanna share (rays of light moments are when we have the small opportunity to see the God's hand in our missionary work) so lemme share some with yall

- Saw a kid playing with a frisbee (using a trashcan lid) with his dog and just had a small feeling to go buy him a water and snack so I did with my comp and he loved it and had a nice little smile on his face 

- Shared one little verse with a recent convert thats going through rough times and when she read the verse she started breaking down in tears and really appreciated the verse and then came to church the next day!! 

- Taking photos with the little peruvians that have just seen a white guy for the first time 

- We had a really solid zone counsel that me and my comp gave to our zone and we saw some really good improvements in our zone this week (God really does magnify our efforts) 

- Gave some really powerful promises this week (this is one of my favorite things to do as a missionary is giving really good promises, email me if you want some stories) 

This week was just really solid and we are having the opportunity to see the Lords hand a ton in small and simple ways. For all my future missionaries out there or ones that are struggling. Here's one of the most important lessons I can give thats in "Mark 8: 35 For whosoever will save his life shall lose it; but whosoever shall lose his life for my sake and the gospel’s, the same shall save it." If you just focusing on others and just simply help others come unto this gospel and feel Christ's love, you are doing your part and you will then feel God's love in return

(Here's an example story:    So one time we were teaching a older lady and her daughter and this older lady had a lot of mental problems and schizophrenia, and in this lesson we were talking about the book of mormon and the importance of baptism. And at the end of the lesson we were talking about how this gospel changes lives, and then i felt super strongly that i can promise that if she reads rhe book of mormon and attends church then she will be completely healed of schizophrenia. And then once I felt that I started tearing up a lot and I gave her that promise. And then the daughter started tearing up. One week after I gave that promise we returned and asked if shes reading and she said yes and her mom is feeling better. So that moment for me was super super cool because all I did was promise that if someone reads this book of mormon that they will be completely healed of schizophrenia and it happened. So yah thats my cool promise story I have. I have others, but not as powerful as that one)
