WEEK OF SEPTEMBER 29TH!
Whats up yall how's it going in the US? This week actually went by so fast it was crazy. My little niece Della was born this week, and she is the cutest thing, I am so excited to see her in person in 21 months. She was born on the perfect day because that day was super boring and I was super upset because we had 1 lesson the entire day. So much walking for nothing, and I am not a patient guy, but when I got back home and saw she was born i didn't care anymore, so shoutout Della for coming in clutch. The next day though we had a ton of lessons and it was the best. Our baptism date is still on and still on my birthday!!! October 7th is an exciting day. Nothing too crazy happened this week i had some fun lessons with cool families and played some volleyball and taught english classes. This week is gonna be super fun, tomorrow I have intercambios (i forgot the word I english) but im going with my district leader tomorrow for the whole day and me and him are such good friends. Its gonna be a ball tomorrow
. Then later in the week we have a giant volleyball night with the ward that I am super excited for and these chibolos (slang for kids) are cooked going against me ima keep it a buck. They have me beat at soccer but not volleyball. Then on Saturday me and the zone are watching general conference all day at the stake center and thatll be super exciting. Pday was so fun today, we went to a 300 year old catholic church building and toured it and saw the catacombs and it was filled with a bunch of bones of past priests. The old catholic buildings give me the heebie jeebies I have a weird feeling in them but its cool to see how other people worship and how old that building is. It was super pretty though and I liked touring it. Then we went to the really nice part of my mission where a ton of tourists go and I met a family from queen creek Arizona and they were in a stake close to mine so it was cool to see more Arizonans and Americans in general who speak English. Then we went to some stores and I bought two things (a poncho and a little coin pouch for my belt), and I love them. The pdays here are actually so sick, and I really like touring peru. I'll end my email with a up and down. The down part first, we have this girl named Rosario we were gonna ask to be baptized next lesson but she didnt respond to our texts so who knows now. It felt like I was playing snipers and shotguns on OG halo and I was about to get the final kill but my shotgun ran out of ammo and I died
. But thankfully there's respawns so maybe there's still hope, we will find out and ill let yall now. We did have a miracle this week though thankfully. Bascially I saw this guy in the street and waved for fun and he drove up to me and he said are you a missionary and I was like yur you know it and he said que chevere (awesome) and he is super interested in the church and wants to be baptized so we've been teaching him a lot and his kid is almost 8 as well
. He is my top 3 favorite person to teach and me and him get along really well. Its just a matter of time and lessons before he takes a big step in life.

. Alls chill here in Peru

. Last compliment was we taught two seperate families and both of them had little 2 year olds and both times they kids on their own came up to me and just jumped and me and started just feeling my arm and hair. I think I was their first american and they really liked me because they just kept talking to me while I giving the lesson it was the best. Everyday I love this place more and more and appreciate the little things so much more (like cold drinks, every time we drink water or juice it's either boiled or luke warm because ice isn't clean, but on very very rare occasions theyll stick the drink in the fridge and its the best). The people are very funny and I love teaching them. We even teach this older lady named Herlinda who I call my peruvian grandma and she is the best (dont worry to both my grandmas in AZ you both still have her beat by a ton) We have lessons at the very top of the mountain and we have to take vans to the top and on the way down they just go super fast and lay on the horn. The drivers remind me of two people back home in AZ. My old leader Brother Zollinger (who flies down mountains after boys camp its the best) and my uncle nate (who is crazy once he starts driving us around at night in the razor, which is also one of my favorite things) so I feel right at home when these van drivers are zooming down the mountains. On a more spiritual note, we gave my favorite lesson this week, a drunk guy came up to us and asked for a lesson and I thought he was joking but we gave him one 3 days ago and it was the most powerful lesson ive had by far, he told us how he has a kid and wants to stop drinking because its very bad. And while testifying on the book of Mormon and how its improved my life I just feel this light above me and I just know what im saying is right and will help this man if he chooses to follow, and I tear up a little because it was just so powerful I loved it. So very good week overall and we had a dope pday, we biked around miraflores which is the nice part of lima peru and looked at a bunch of stuff and got some ceviche for my first time
. It is fish and corn and vegetables and mine had squid on it, it was so good.
