FACE OF A KING!

What is up yall whats cooking. This week was so good and lots of great lessons. First off I got my first baptism date!!!! On October 7th (also my birthday) we baptize Roxana, I am so excited and the work is paying off. Great birthday present for a missionary. Second off the people are really loving the america lots of compliments this week I loved it. First one was we taught this lady and after she grabbed my hand proceeds to kiss it and say "you are very handsome and you look like a king, and then she flexes and says you look very strong. It was the funniest thing ever. And for the first time in my life these kids asked me elder how are you so tall (for those who dont know Peruvians are short) and after they asked i was like uhhh idk and it made me feel so cool ðŸ˜¹. Last compliment was we taught two seperate families and both of them had little 2 year olds and both times they kids on their own came up to me and just jumped and me and started just feeling my arm and hair. I think I was their first american and they really liked me because they just kept talking to me while I giving the lesson it was the best. Everyday I love this place more and more and appreciate the little things so much more (like cold drinks, every time we drink water or juice it's either boiled or luke warm because ice isn't clean, but on very very rare occasions theyll stick the drink in the fridge and its the best). The people are very funny and I love teaching them. We even teach this older lady named Herlinda who I call my peruvian grandma and she is the best (dont worry to both my grandmas in AZ you both still have her beat by a ton) We have lessons at the very top of the mountain and we have to take vans to the top and on the way down they just go super fast and lay on the horn. The drivers remind me of two people back home in AZ. My old leader Brother Zollinger (who flies down mountains after boys camp its the best) and my uncle nate (who is crazy once he starts driving us around at night in the razor, which is also one of my favorite things) so I feel right at home when these van drivers are zooming down the mountains. On a more spiritual note, we gave my favorite lesson this week, a drunk guy came up to us and asked for a lesson and I thought he was joking but we gave him one 3 days ago and it was the most powerful lesson ive had by far, he told us how he has a kid and wants to stop drinking because its very bad. And while testifying on the book of Mormon and how its improved my life I just feel this light above me and I just know what im saying is right and will help this man if he chooses to follow, and I tear up a little because it was just so powerful I loved it. So very good week overall and we had a dope pday, we biked around miraflores which is the nice part of lima peru and looked at a bunch of stuff and got some ceviche for my first time ðŸ¥³. It is fish and corn and vegetables and mine had squid on it, it was so good.

Spiritual Thought: Before I came to the field and was at the MTC i made the mental decision to not even focus on the bad things or even yhink about them and simply just keep enduring and going and keeping a good attitude because I dont hope but I KNOW the spirit is with me and I know that God is watching over me. So I just keep giving lessons and if something bad happens and or I get sad who cares just keep going, because I know ill be ok and its been working. Sure ive had a few bad things but who cares im doing the lords work and I know the spirit is with me so everyone try to have that same attitude because it makes life easier and fun ðŸ¤™ðŸ¤™ðŸ¤™

Love you all and I hope all of you have a great week

From, the elder who is loved by all Peruvians
