93!

Hows it going yall? This week went by super fast as well, and this next one will as well, porque we have a lot of things to get done. Lemme update yall on some more information on Peruvians. First off at least in my area i have found they love reggae music, Bruno mars, and The Weeknd (specifically Die for You), it is always playing at some shops and sometimes its the radio and other times its from their phones. And dont get me started on Bad Bunny they love him so much here and for also when people see me theyll look at me and do this  with their hands just to say hello, didnt know that people did that here but some do idk man. Also they love Capybaras like a ton, im talking capybara stuffed animals, mascots, little toys and whatnot. Also whenever they see me most of them say in their broken english Hello! How are you? And then start laughing its hilarious. Also thanks to my mom I have probably 100 mini Jesus's in my backpack and I have been giving them out to families after lessons and they love him so much . I'll show yall pics at the end of the email. On a different note conference was sooooooo good, I have payed fully attention and I did this time and let me tell yall ive been missing out, i made 10 questions before hand about questions that have been on my mind ALL of them got answered it was insane. I felt the spirit so much. Also a few days ago i was just so out of patience and mad at my comp and I was abouta blow up and some guy drove by with his shirt half unbuttoned and a fat gold chain yelled ELDERS!!! And I was like great now what and he said hes a member (never seen this guy once before) and he is the uncle of a family we've been teaching, and then he said hop in my mototaxi and ill take you to their house and we can have a lesson, so without second we just hopped in (really trusted the spirit to tell me no there if it was dangerous) and he took us there for free and it turns out it was his birthday so we ate ice cream with him and had a lesson. Not kidding in a solid 1 mi. I went from almost blowing up on my comp to laughing my head off eating ice cream with a family, God really cares for his people man. Also had intercambios with the district leader and zone leader and i went with Elder Lagon (my district leader) and we had such a fun day, and taught great lessons with the spirit man. Easily my favorite day in the field besides p-day. Im not gonna glaze too much because hes on this email  but ill just say it was a very good day. Then 4 days later i went with the zone leader and it was also such a good day, a ton of walking but overall very good. I also figured out why ive been so happy and fulfilled out here, and I think its because of my morning schedule. I wake up, stretch, workout, pray, personal study, and Im just set for the day. Great way to start everyday I love it. Also yesterday funny story, I was walking to a lesson and in the street was like 30 adults having a party and all of them were DRUNK, and they saw me and said AYYYY AMERICANA and I walked over and just started talking to them having a grand ol time with them it was so funny. They asked if I wanted some beer and I was like ohh no thank you and they started laughing . Looking back on thse stories i am really putting my faith into the Holy Ghost like who knows what could've happened but we are chilling. Spanish is getting pretty good and i love having conversations with the latino elders in my district and random people in the street. I love how I can make good relations with the street and instantly connect with random people. Talking to others and laughing with them has been my favorite part of this adventure man, just meeting all of God's children and bonding. On a sad note a ton of bus drivers and van drivers are on strike because a gang is going around and demanding money, and if the drivers say no they let's just say hurt them. So there are way less drivers out there, so a lot more walking for a little bit, but its chill.

Spiritual Thought: There's this thing for missionaries called the 40 day fast and its when you consecrated yourself as a missionary and sacrifice 10 things for 40 days for self improvement and I started that today. Because my one weakness out here has been myself, thoughts and temptations keep coming into my brain that are distractions and with this 40 day fast I am putting myself into God's hands and relying on his strength so ill update yall on how that goes.

Side note tomorrow is my birthday!!!  big 19 tomorrow
