LABOR OF LOVE!

 Whats up everyone hope all is great!! We have been doing great here in Pisco but lemme give yall some updates

- President came down to Pisco and went proselyting with me and my comp for a bit and we taught a family that is super cool and they are so close to baptism

- Pisco (especially where me and one other companionship live) is in a water crisis so they are always shutting off the water soooo we moved to a backpacker hotel in Paracas. For those who dont know Paracas is a vacation spot in Pisco, like its a nationally protected and funded place and there are always Americans walking around its super weird. Its like Perus version of Newport California so its been a blast living in these little backpacker hotels with another companionship also

- The work has been going great, we have been finding lots of cool people to teach and we have been making progress here in Pisco

- I turned 20 on the 7th which is insane, cant believe im 20 now (thanks to everyone who emailed me, yall are the best )

- We have 3 baptismal dates right now for November 1st, November 7th, and November 21st, so please prayers for Brianna (11 years old), Mia (18 years old) and Angela (104 YEARS OLD, yes im not even joking we have a baptism date for someone born in 1922 and she is the goat)

The work has been going amazing and me and my comp are having a blast together which is always great. We have been seeing lots of milagros and tender mercies and im so happy to be apart of them

For now on in my weekly emails im going to writing a way I saw the Lords hand and this week I want to talk about the lesson that we had with President (and we brought a recent return missionary). So basically its a family of 4: mom (juana 32), dad (cesar 32), daughter (flabia 9) and son (benjamin 2) and they are the best. The mom and daughter want to get baptized and its just the dad and he is right there on baptism and we taught them the second half of plan of salvation and temples and how it all ties to the atonement of Jesus Christ and it was just a super powerful lesson. We all bore powerful testimonies and the spirit was super super strong and we left that house feeling really good. This week we are going to try putting a date on them so please prayers for them

RANDOM PICS AND POST!

 This is mom...you uploaded a lot of pictures and told us about them on the phone or in messenger and since we have been out of town for 2 weeks, I am behind....so here is random pictures! 

Some sort of fruit in Peru? Pisco scenery. Temple in Pisco (maybe). 4 year old girl who I took a pic of making cross eyes and she got really mad and made me delete it but then I pulled it out of my deleted. For Pday we went on a boat tour and saw Sea Lions and Penguins. Ate dinner at the Bishop's house and came over with a micheveous look on his face and said "elders I have a treat for you" and then he whipped out these bad boys! (the monsters, and he made us my favorite dinner in Peru, Lomo Saltado). Multizone. The district got me a cake for my birthday and that night heading to multizones we all got our own personal pizzas! Momma Mimi even bought me my own Dominoes pizza for my birthday! 104 year old friend - Angela. 18 year old Mia. A random friend who's door we knocked on and he was so glad to see us, we had a discussion with him and then he asked if we could sing a hymn together so we did, then we left and me and my comp made a bet that day that we could get someone random to come with us and sing a song to someone random on the street so we went back and asked him if he would join us and he said yes so we walked and found a lady and sang to her, it was the best! 

PRESIDENT BYERS VISIT!

 Sorry for the delay we had a multizone today with all of the missionaries in the south, but the lesson went really really good!! It was super powerful, and the dad brought up baptism 4 times on his own without us even asking, sooo they are getting closer and closer. President participated a lot and it was awesome. We taught the spirit world (and reminded them of the importance of temple work because there are people waiting for our help in the spirit world) and then resurrection and tied it all back to the atonement of Jesus Christ and how with his sacrifice this whole plan is made possible, and then we all testified and it was awesome. The spirit was soooo present and per usual when im testifying and teaching and the Holy Ghost is present i start to tear up and that happened when I testified on the atonement of Jesus and his infinite love for us. Ill talk about it more on sunday but overall it was awesome. 

Side note: I rented a sky blue suit for the multizone from a convert in our area (Familia Lopez) and what are you guys thoughts on it?

TRANSFERS!

 Writing the email on time babyyyyy (this is for you Elder Baker )

Transfers came last week and I am now in a place called Pisco!!! Its on the coast and its a big fishing town and its super dope. Ive been very lowkey to see all different things in my mission from city to mountains to fields to now the coast . And my comp is an absolute studdddd lemme give yall some facts on him

- His name is Elder Ludlow

- From Lehi, Utah

- 20 years old

- Has 21 months out here

- Loves everything outdoors

- He was actually the 3rd elder I ever met in the mission and now we are comps together which is insane

I absolutely loved Cañete and everything it did for me. I met people that changed my life and I will never forget them. And ill give them some shoutouts

- Francisco: Wanted to get baptized and is still active even though his wife left him with his autistic son, has a half built house with dirt floors, got his phone stolen, his moto robbed, lives 40 mins (with his moto, so now its longer), has to work 2 jobs to pay for his son and was in the hospital for over a week. Francisco is the definition of what a true disciple is and what real conversion looks like

- Walter and Haydee: A husband and wife who were jehovas witnesses and only loved listening to the missionaries but then the wife got baptized first and a month later after stating that baptism is not for him, her husband Walter got baptized!! And after that Walter pulled me aside on my last sunday and started tearing up and thanking me for everything and that i changed his life and that he will NEVER leave this church (it even had me teary eyed) and it was the sweetest thing because he always has a serious face on, but he is just a big teddy bear on the inside . And they want to get sealed in the temple in 1 year and holy im excited for them. I wont be in the mission when that happens but I will do everything in my power to be there

- Karla: After 5 weeks in teaching she had spiritual experiences and knew right off the bat that this is the true church and ACTED on her impressions and her husband will soon be following her example in a month or 2

- Akemy: After 1 year in teaching she followed the example of her active sister and got baptized with Karla!! She is amazing and finally acted on the spiritual experiences she has had

- Shantall: Little Shantall is just the goat and is setting a great example for her mom

Cañete has a special place in my heart and changed my course as a person and has grown my personal conversion to this gospel. Thank you Cañete for everything

Spiritual Thought: Theres this quote that I 100 percent found on my own and did not take from anyone else off their email (love you Seth) and I wanted to share it with yall:

I wanted to give a tie to Walter, but I didn't see him at the farewell party so my comp delivered it for me. Francisco couldn't afford a white shirt so I bought him one and he wore it to church the next Sunday so my old comp sent me a picture of it. My zone. A service project. I texted a picture in Canete to momma mimi and she reposted it on her instagram stories and that's where my mom stole this picture.
