A TEXT FROM A STRANGER!

 The day before we got an email from Jared that he had been having horrible stomach pain and his stake president wanted him to go to the hospital, but he didn't want to. Anytime he ate anything, his stomach stung. The next day was their P-day and they were going to go to the temple and we were just praying Eli would be able to make it. I was worried about him in the back of my mind and then while I was at the gym with Amber I got a text from unknown number. A mom from Utah and her returned missionary had returned back to Lima to visit her son's mission and she ran into Eli and another Elder from the states and she sent us a picture of them! Seeing Eli's face melted my heart, he looked happy and he had made it to the temple! I have never been so grateful for a text before! This stranger has no idea what this meant to me! 

When we finally got to talk to Eli he told us how excited he was to see Americans! Later that night he called us crying....he didn't feel good, he was done with his companion and he couldn't believe he had 22 months left! 

We talked to him for a while and tried to help him as best we could. It broke my momma heart...I just wanted to hug him and let him know it was going to be ok. 

Luckily Emma and Hunter were able to jump on the call as well and talk to him too. The next day Eli woke up with a new attitude and ready to conquer the world and he started his 40 day fast (not from food, but from other things) hoping to help him with everything he was struggling with and everything hsi companion was struggling with. 

But today....I am so grateful for the littlest things....like the text from a stranger!
